Face off with Giovanni and earn the chance to catch a Shadow Ho-Oh in Pokemon GO
A Seven-Colored Shadow is a Pokemon GO event with special tasks & rewards, running from June 17 - September 1, 2021.
The event includes six separate stages that lead up to you battling Team Rock's leader, Giovanni, and the chance to catch a Shadow Ho-Oh. In order to find Giovanni, you'll need to earn and use a Super Rocket Radar.
Please note that you'll only be able to participate in this special research if you've already completed the 'A Troubling Situation' Special Research arc.

Defeat 5 Team GO Rocket Grunts — x5 Hyper Potion
Catch 5 Shadow Pokemon — x5 Revive
Purify 3 Shadow Pokemon — x15 PokeBall
Stage rewards — 2000 XP, 500 Stardust and Xatu encounter

Use 3 Supereffective Charged Attacks in Gym Battles — x1 Fast TM
Battle another Trainer in the Great League — x1 Charged TM
Purify 5 Shadow Pokemon — x15 Ultra Ball
